The acquisition of this dataset was performed within the REPHY network, created and implemented by Ifremer and within the marine Universities/CNRS network before 2018. Since 2018, the acquisition is performed by the SNO PHYTOBS of the Coastal Ocean and Nearshore Observation French Research Infrastructure (“ILICO”). REPHY and SOMLIT networks support sampling.
The people cited in the contributors include national coordinators of PHYTOBS, key analysts and experts in phytoplankton observations, those who contributed to structuring data in the databases, Pelagos and Quadrige, the laboratory managers implementing observation network, and individuals who contributed to the data through their personal expertise. Other contributors such as samplers and other analysts are also gratefully acknowledged.
