COME3T - Deliverable D02.01: The reef effect of wind farms and their connections on the marine ecosystem

In response to the issues identified by the sector and the questions raised by citizens concerning the environmental integration of marine renewable energies in France, the COME3T approach aims to provide elements of expertise, synthesis and recommendations based on a national network of experts. In this bulletin, 3 experts have worked together to define the reef effect and its consequences on fish populations and all mobile species.

This deliverable is part of phase 2 of the COME3T project that took place between 2020 and 2022.

COME3T (Phase 2) is coordinated by France Energies Marines, which acts as an interface between a steering committee, which prioritises the issues to be addressed, and the expert committees, which contribute to scientific knowledge. A steering committee collectively selects the scientific topics to be addressed and ensures the independence and neutrality of the expert committees. The expert committees bring together scientists selected for their expertise and knowledge of the subject. For each new topic, didactic bulletins richly illustrated summarises the scientific information collected.
